Main purpose of the job:

To provide an expert costs service to our clients.

Responsible to:

Team leader

Main key result areas

  • Costs recovery: provides support to client in preparing claims for payment. Prepares costs schedules for negotiation, schedules for summary assessment, costs estimates, costs budgets. Prepares and deals with bills for detailed assessment, points of reply and all other steps/documents within the costs process or that a case may require. Advising client throughout.
  • Adverse costs: provides support to the client in opposing costs claims. Prepares and deals with the provision of costs advice, drafting points of dispute and all other steps/documents within the costs process or that a case may require. Advising client throughout.
  • Ensures that files are satisfactorily finished, where necessary disbursements paid and files closed/returned according to procedures laid down in the client.
  • Ensures client instructions and requirements are followed and KPI’s met.

Minimum qualifications - 5 G.C.S.E’s or equivalent at grade C, including maths and english, (relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative)
