Driving with excess alcohol

Martyn Walsh from our motoring offence team recently represented a professional sales manager at Liverpool Magistrates Court who pleaded guilty to an allegation of driving with excess alcohol.

The case was listed in front of a well known District Judge and Martyn appeared at Court with the client for the final hearing. Our client had a breath reading of 87 which the sentencing guidelines indicate should be a disqualification of 22 months. After representations by Martyn the Judge passed a sentence of a 12 month ban AND offered a course that reduced this to 9 months when completed. Our client was very pleased with this outcome and the sentence was less than half what it should have been.

If you face prosecution for an allegation of drink driving it is important that you seek advice from a specialist motoring offences lawyer to determine whether an endorsement can be avoided. Call our team 24/7 for free initial advice on 0845 00 20736 or complete our online enquiry form.
