Maria graduated from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 2005 and completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, York in 2006.
Maria began work at Stephensons as a graduate clerk in the family department in September 2006 until the commencement of her Training Contract in September 2007. During her Training Contract she gained further experience in family, consumer, housing and employment litigation.
Maria qualified into the consumer department in September 2009. She specialised in contract law disputes particularly those relating to consumer credit, sale of goods and services and professional negligence.
In March 2011 Maria moved to the firm's family law department in Bolton and now specialises in advising and representing clients in proceedings relating to divorce and ancillary relief, child contact and residence disputes, domestic violence and care proceedings.
