Following her Degree at Sheffield University and Diploma in Legal Practice at York College of Law, Kay undertook her Training Contract with Stephensons. Kay qualified in 1998 and founded the Corporate department with Nick Yates and became a Partner in 2003.
Kay has extensive experience in corporate and commercial work. Kay's expertise is in transactional and non transactional work for SME's in the North West of England across various industry sectors.
The team undertakes the whole range of corporate and commercial activity including:
- Mergers, acquisitions, takeovers and disposals MBO's, MBI's and IBO's, shareholder and partnership agreements.
- Setting up the required business medium
- Commercial contracts, joint venture agreements, terms and conditions of trade etc, Intellectual property and e-commerce
Kay is also the company secretary for Young Enterprise North West and was instrumental in setting up the new company. The aim has been to regionalise the national Young Enterprise Company.
Kay is recommended in the Legal 500.
Kay is married with a young son and enjoys running with Parbold Pink Panthers.
