Ann qualified as a Solicitor in 1983 in Blackburn. After working in Blackburn she set up as a sole practitioner in 1988 but then moved to Stephensons in 1991. In 1993 Ann was appointed a Partner. She was Head of Personal Injury and then Head of Litigation before taking a seat on the Board in 2004, after four years on the Board Ann was elected Chairwoman by the Partners of the firm, commencing her role in April 2008.
In her role Ann has management responsibility for over 200 Lawyers and numerous Support staff.
Ann is a member of the Manchester Law Society, the Solicitors Regulation Authority's Personal Injury Accreditation Scheme and she was appointed as a Fellow of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) in 2003. Before taking up her position as Chairwoman Ann's specialism was catastrophic injury cases notably brain injury and spinal injury matters.
