North West law firm, Stephensons Solicitors LLP has raised £5,379.34 for Macmillan Cancer Support following a year of fundraising activities.
Staff at Stephensons vote annually to raise money for a nominated charity as part of the firm’s commitment to social responsibility and in 2012, Macmillan Cancer Support was the nominated cause.
All of the firm’s 400 staff took part in fundraising activities over the 12-month period, which included a fashion networking event at DKNY in Manchester; a charity dinner at Worsley Marriot; dress down days and much more.
Ann Harrison, Stephensons’ chairwoman, said: “Macmillan Cancer Support was voted for by our staff, many of whom have needed the support and resources provided by them. Macmillan provides practical, medical and financial support and pushes for better cancer care.
“I’m proud of the lengths our staff have gone to. We’ve all enjoyed taking part in the various activities to make this year one of our best efforts, and I’m sure the money we have handed over will make a real difference to people living with cancer in our communities.”
