Legal tips for Wigan's business community

The latest networking event by Wigan Borough Business Club will give the borough’s small businesses and owner managed companies a range of legal tips on debt recovery, contracts, property and making a Will.

The free event, from 6pm - 9pm on June 12th at Wigan Cricket Club, will feature presentations from a panel of expert solicitors from local law firm, Stephensons Solicitors LLP.

The law firm is hosting a ‘legal clinic’ during the networking event, to give attendees the opportunity to discuss any legal issues with a panel of Stephensons' solicitors.

Louise Hebborn, associate solicitor at Stephensons, said: “This event is a must for small businesses that need to get up to speed with the latest legislation. Not only will we have a legal panel on hand to answer queries, but we will also present a short update on important legal issues to aid business owners, including the latest employment law changes to unfair dismissal cases.”

The Wigan Borough Business Club is run by a number of leading businesses in the Wigan and surrounding areas, including Stephensons, PA Hull & Co chartered accountants, Paul Designs and RBS. The group meets monthly and is supported by Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce.

The aim is to encourage the growth of business in the borough and to provide a friendly and informal environment where like-minded businesses can share experiences, meet new suppliers, and gain new customers.
