Stephensons shows the love for the Rainbow Trust

Love was in the air at Stephensons on Friday…and it was all for a good cause as the Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence teams dressed in red on Valentine’s Day to raise £432.10 for The Rainbow Trust.

The teams chose the colour to support ‘I Love Claims’ day, a national fundraising initiative to raise money for the charity, which helps children with life-limiting illnesses.

Stephensons’ Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence teams assist children who have been injured in accidents or at birth, and their families, in their bid to gain access to justice. It’s because of this work that they wanted to show their support for the ‘I Love Claims’ day.

Louise Griffiths, managing partner of the Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence departments, said: “We work to help families and children injured through accidents or negligence on a daily basis. Charities like The Rainbow Trust are a vital support for some of our clients and so everyone was keen to do what we can to raise as much as possible to help.

“As well as making a donation to dress down in red for the day, many of our staff got involved by baking cakes to sell, holding a firm-wide quiz and a tombola prize draw among other things, to maximise the fundraising.”

Stephensons’ Clinical Negligence department is one of the largest in the region. The team advises members of the public who have suffered negligence at the hands of medical professionals, including GPs, surgeons, beauty therapists, dentists and other practitioners. They assist individuals in recovering compensation for injuries and financial losses they have suffered as a result of negligence.

The firm’s Personal Injury team also assists people who have suffered serious injuries to gain compensation. The award-winning team has specialists handling cases which involve permanent injuries such as brain damage, head and spinal injuries. The department has a proven track record in not only investigating and maximising the financial aspects of a claim, but also assisting in providing practical support and other services to help people adapt to a dramatically altered lifestyle.
