Stephensons Solicitors LLP, which has eight offices in Altrincham, Bolton, Leigh, Manchester, St Helens and Wigan has scooped the title Law Firm of the Year at a prestigious legal conference and awards dinner.
The law firm was announced as the winner of the award category, by the 360 Legal Group, at its annual dinner on Thursday October 4th which took place at The Belfry, near Birmingham.
It is the third year that Bristol-based 360 Legal Group, which helps law firms across the UK manage and market their practices more successfully as businesses, has held the awards to find and recognise practices of all sizes who are not only adapting but also responding to the fast changing conditions facing the legal profession and the difficult economic climate they are facing.
The Judges were looking for evidence of a firm that sets itself apart from its competitors within a legal market which is constantly changing during the worst recession in living memory. Not only has Stephensons Solicitors LLP responded to these challenges but during the course of the year has grown significantly. They have achieved this by seeking strategic acquisitions as a way to increase the firm’s scope.
As well as adopting innovative ways to attract new clients and retain existing ones, they have a commitment to helping the most vulnerable people in society by offering access to justice to all parts of society, not just those who can afford it and they are one of the country’s largest providers of legal aid.
In a further bid to respond to the legal aid and recession challenges, Stephensons has implemented fixed price services across a wide range of legal services to give their publicly funded and private paying clients certainty and security.
During the course of the year, Stephensons was recognised for going “Beyond the Standard”, achieving Investors in People Silver status, as well as retaining the Law Society’s quality mark, Lexcel.
