Stephensons, the national law firm, with offices in Bolton and Middlebrook, has pledged its support to a local school with a donation of £400.
Andrew Leakey, from Stephensons, joined staff and pupils from Canon Slade School in Bolton to present the donation which has been used to purchase new team t-shirts for the school’s swimming teams. The new kit will allow the team to be instantly recognisable during events and competitions across the region.
Canon Slade, which has its own swimming pool on site has enjoyed enormous sporting success. The senior, inter and junior girls and senior boys are currently town swimming champions. The school has even represented the region at national level, with the inter girls team fighting for silverware at the English Schools Finals in London last November.
Mr Rees, who is the school development officer, said: “It was great to meet with Andrew and we are delighted with the support from Stephensons.
“Everyone is thrilled with the t-shirts and we can’t wait to wear them with pride at the Bolton Town Swimming Championships next week.”
