Standard letters - £25 plus VAT.
Bespoke written pleas in mitigation without you needing to attend Court - £200 plus VAT (includes a full conference with you either at our offices or over the phone.)
Guilty plea to summary offences in the Magistrates Court - £500 plus VAT. This includes a pre-Court conference with you either face to face at one of our offices or over the phone, advice, guidance and review of written references and representation at the sentencing hearing in Court.
Exceptional hardship argument in the Magistrates Court - £750 plus VAT. This includes pre-Court conference with you either face to face at one of our offices or over the phone, advice, guidance and review of written references (particularly important in these types of cases) and representation at the sentencing hearing in Court to ensure that the best possible result is obtained
Additional hearings for guilty pleas or exceptional hardship arguments £250 plus VAT, plus £50 per hour travel (for example if the Court adjourn due to lack of Court time, for further information or for a pre-sentence report).
Trial in the Magistrates Court - For a fixed fee of £500 plus VAT we will review the prosecution evidence, take instructions during a full conference (either face to face at one of our offices or over the phone), advise in relation to potential defences, merits and prospects of success and will provide a fixed fee quote for dealing with any trial thereafter. In general our costs for dealing with summary trials, including preparation and advocacy, start from £1250 plus VAT.
Crown Court trials (including preliminary hearings and committal proceedings in the Magistrates Court) - As above we can provide review of the evidence and advice at the outset about plea and venue for a fixed fee of £500. Crown Court trials start from £2,000 plus VAT including section 51 hearings (first appearances for indictable only offences) and committal proceedings in the Magistrates Court.
Early return of driving licence - £750 plus VAT plus disbursements where necessary to the application (e.g. medical reports.)
Crown Court appeals against sentence - From £900 plus VAT
Crown Court appeals against conviction - From £1500 plus VAT
Applications to reinstate driving licences revoked by the DVLA (E.g. on medical grounds) - From £1,500 - plus disbursements (e.g. medical reports).
All cases will attract a disbursement of 40p per mile travelling expenses plus parking.
