Anyone who cares for, or is cared for by reason of illness, age or disability may be entitled to community care services. Such services vary from simple provision of equipment to complex packages of personal care. They may also include; respite services, residential and nursing care and suitable housing and accommodation to meet needs.
Traditional service provision by the state is not the only way a person may get services. There is also a Direct Payment Scheme where a person is granted regular funds to pay for the care of their own choice. Many community care services are free. Some are charged for using complex means-testing. Many challenges to the lack of provision, or the charges for care can be brought. Stephensons are experts in this field and we have been carrying out this type of work for over 20 years. You can rest assured that we will determine the best course of action for your circumstances.
