We are looking to recruit our Partners of the future through our Trainee Solicitor Scheme. Many of our current Partners came to us as students or through our graduate recruitment scheme, entering into a Training Contract and progressing through the firm. As such, preference will be given to those candidates who wish to live and work here in the North West of England.
We look for trainees who have achieved a high academic standard. Preference will be given to those with a 2.1 degree, although a 2.2 will be considered if you are able to demonstrate additional skills or experience. You must have common sense, the ability to organise yourself and others, as well as being commercially aware. Offering a structured training programme within specialist departments, you will be expected to work as part of a team and have the personality and confidence to excel in whatever you do, both in and out of the work place.
Our trainees are selected from either our vacation placement scheme or from our graduate recruitment programme. Emphasis is placed on your aptitude and application during these programmes.
We hold an assessment day during July/August for prospective trainees consisting of a variety of activities along with individual interviews. It is generally the case that we do not offer Training Contracts more than a year in advance. Therefore applications are considered for the current and the subsequent year.
